From November 19 to December 5.

For the eighth year in a row, the Hospitality and Tourism Guild of Mataró and the Maresme is organizing the “Autumn of Fricandó in Mataró”, the gastronomic days dedicated to this very typical dish, which has always maintained an obvious tradition in Catalan cuisine. domestic level as in the most popular restaurant and gastronomy.

This event began in 2013 to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the poet Salvador Espriu, and also because it was one of the favorite dishes of this famous Catalan poet. Despite being born in Santa Coloma de Farners, Espriu, the son of Arenys, was closely linked to the Maresme, as he spent his summers in Arenys de Mar and was buried in 1985 in the “Sinera” cemetery in the same fishing village.

This year, a total of 7 restaurants are taking part that will delight in this dish, and that between November 19 and December 5 will offer customers the chance to taste the fricandó that Espriu liked so much. Leaflets have been published with the recipe for the dish. You can find more information on the Guild’s website , www.gremihostaleria.com.

The participating restaurants are: Can Bruguera, Iluro, Nou Daxana, Caminetto, La Nova Rosaleda, Mundial i The Drunk Monk, all from Mataró .
